Homework

Music homework is assigned to the following grades:

4th Grade - Recorders

5th Grade - Ukulele

7th Grade - Guitar

Music homework is not assigned to 6th grade and 8th grade students because they are learning how to play the piano. Students are encouraged to practice at home if they have access to a piano. School keyboards are available to be signed out during school breaks and on weekends.

Music homework will primarily consist of practicing songs on their instrument, which they will play/sing in class for part of their grade. We will also work on their songs in class, but students who practice between music classes build their confidence and make greater progress  learning their instrument.
