Class overview

• Geometry:  Explores the properties and relationships of points, lines, angles, shapes, and space.  Students will develop logical reasoning and problem-solving skills through proofs, constructions, and real-world applications.  Topics include congruence, similarity, coordinate geometry, transformations and three-dimensional figures.

• Math Models:  Focuses on applying algebra, geometry, statistics, and probability to real-world situations.  Students use mathematical reasoning to solve problems involving personal finance, business, science, and everyday decision-making.  The course emphasizes critical thinking, data interpretation, and the use of technology to model and analyze situations.

• College Prep:   Focuses on strengthening essential algebra, geometry, and problem solving skills need for success in college level mathematics.  Students review and apply concepts in functins, equations, statistics, and mathematical reasoning through real-world contexts.  The course emphasizes critical thinking, accuracy, and the ability to communicate mathematical ideas effectively.
