Library reservation procedure:
To reserve the library, please choose the block of time you will need, put your name or the name of the group, and indicate what part of the room you will need, or if you will need the whole library.
For example, "Hellman - Puzzle Tables" would indicate that my group will be using the side of the library with the low tables and projector. The other side is commonly known as either "Couch" or "High Top Tables." If you need the entire space, please write "Whole Library" so that others know they cannot reserve it at the same time as you.
If you need me to prepare anything (other than being present to help students find books; check in/check out, etc) just send an email so I am ready for your group!
Orientation:
If you would like to schedule a formal library orientation for your class, please email me and set up a time.
For older groups who are already familiar with the library I am happy to just quickly go over expectations, the new fiction layout, and remind them of the check out process so that we can get a book in their hands quickly. For our newer Molin students I will plan to take some more time and go over how to find books, how we use the library at the Molin, self check-out and library cards, and behavior expectations. If you have special requests for your class's orientation, please include that in your email!
Projects/Collaboration:
I am happy to work with you to give students an introduction to research and databases to prepare for a project, help you find resources or titles, or just do some readers' advisory with your students (do book talks, individual consultations, book 'tastings,' etc). Have a question or an idea? Email me or come chat with me--I would love to help!
Library Databases:
Nock-Molin Databases and eBook Access
None of these should require a username and password besides a student's Google login--if you come up against a password screen, please let me know and I will troubleshoot for you!
