There are so many great (and free!) ways to create assessments! If you're not sure where to begin, start with a simple Google Form. You could also check out Edulastic, as all its Premium Features are currently free through July 1st! Edulastic is a great assessment tool for standards based assessments.

Create a Quiz Assignment in Google Classroom. This will create a Google Form that you can send out, and even put Chromebooks in Locked Kiosk Mode while the assessment is being taken. Simply go to your Classwork Page in Classroom and Create a Quiz Assignment to get started.
Create standards based assessments that can contain a multitude of different question types, including many students will see during MCAS (Interactive Math and ELA style Questions).

Create a prompt and students respond with their own video. I've seen this used in so many creative ways, including students recording their musical practice sessions for their teacher can provide feedback!

Create digital worksheets. Easy to send out and have students complete. Will also grade automatically.
