Dr. Kibler

Welcome!

This is my 9th year at Mid-Carolina High School. I taught at Greenwood High School for 16 years before coming here. Along with teaching at the high school, this is my 13th year teaching at Lander University in the Education Department. I also taught at Southside Middle School in Greenwood for 6 years. I have teaching experience in New York, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina. I received my bachelor's degree (Physical Education K-12) from Ithaca College in 1987. I then received my Masters of Education (Elementary Education N-6) from SUNY Potsdam in 1991. I completed my National Board Certification in Special Education in 2005 and renewed in 2015. I believe strongly in education and completed my Doctorate in Special Education from Nova Southeastern University in 2012. I completed certification in High School Mathematics in 2019. I feel education is one of the most important tools we can give to our children. I am completely dedicated to teaching and caring for your child!

Family: I have two daughters and a wonderful husband. We live in Chappells and run a farm in our spare time (goats and cows); my husband grew up in Newberry schools. Our oldest daughter is a Pharmacist in Prosperity. Our youngest daughter is working in NC with a Disability Advocacy Center while she applies to graduate schools for neuroscience research.

** If you ever need to contact me, please do not hesitate. We are partners in your child's education. You may call the school and leave a message and I will get back to you within 24 hours or you can email me directly at lkibler@sdnc.org . This is the fastest way to receive a reply. I will usually answer within the same day unless I need to find out more information for your questions. In that case, I will let you know that I received your message and will get back to you!

I am looking forward to an exciting school year!
