About Mr. Boozer

Mr. Boozer reads a newspaper to students from Reuben Elementary School during Career Day.

Mr. Boozer talks with RES students about his work as a journalist as part of career day. Newspapers are one form of media in our media center.

Hi Everyone,

I look forward to our time in the library together! This year we will become more information literate as we share "just right for us" books.

Tools we may use may include:

green screen,

videos,

puppets, writing and storyboarding,

computer coding/programming, and

SCDISCUS.

I grew up in Pomaria and am a lifelong resident of Newberry County.This is my eleventh year in the School District of Newberry County. This is my eighth year as a media specialist. Prior to that I worked as a computer lab monitor.

I have firsthand experience in the media field, having worked as a reporter for The Newberry Observer, The Herald Independent and The Whitmire News. I currently write for Newberry Magazine and previously have written for a children's magazine and wrote a children's book for my alma mater, Newberry College.

I have a passion for helping students become critical thinkers, lovers of reading and lifelong learners.

I look forward to sharing our library with each of you!
