I was born and raised here in the midlands of South Carolina. I received my undergraduate degree and Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of South Carolina. I have always loved reading and literature. This was a prime factor in my decision to teach English Language Arts. I have taught at Newberry High School all of my teaching career and hope to continue here for the remainder of my career.
