Hello!  My name is Crystal Boyd, and I am one of three 6th grade English Language Arts teachers at Newberry Middle School. I am a native of Newberry County and a product of the School District of Newberry County.  I graduated from Newberry High School, home of the Bulldogs.  After completing high school, I went on to attend college at Lander University where I received my Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration.

 I began my career in education as an instructional assistant in Special Education at Mid-Carolina High School.  I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education online from Western Governors University and my Masters through Grand Canyon University.  I am certified in Early Childhood, as well as Elementary Education. I also have a GT Endorsement. I have completed coursework in Special Education, and I received my master's in Leadership and Administration in December of 2023.

 I am married with six children, and I am the MiMi of four beautiful granddaughters.  My family and I enjoy spending quality time  together. I currently have two children in college. My son is studying Sports Managment and is in his final year at Coastal Carolina. My daughter is studying Sports Medicine, and she is in her first year at The University of South Carolina-Columbia.

 I am extremely passionate about education, and I look forward to extending my passion for learning to my students.
