Hello!  My name is Crystal Boyd, and I am one of four 6th grade English Language Arts teachers at Newberry Middle School. I am a native of Newberry County and a product of the School District of Newberry County.  I graduated from Newberry High School, home of the Bulldogs.  After completing high school, I went on to attend college at Lander University where I received my Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration.

 I began my career in education as an instructional assistant in Special Education at Mid-Carolina High School.  I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education online from Western Governors University and my Masters through Grand Canyon University.  I am certified in Early Childhood, as well as Elementary Education. I also have a GT Endorsement. I have completed coursework in Special Education, and I received my master's in Leadership and Administration in December of 2023.

 I am married with six children, three granddaughters, and a Blue-Nosed Pitbull named Miracle.  My family and I enjoy spending quality time  together, and alot of that time is spent supporting my daugther who plays high school and travel basketball. 

 I am extremely passionate about education, and I look forward to extending my passion for learning to my students.
