6th Grade Science
Description of course:
This course is designed around the South Carolina Science Standards for 6th grade.
Unit 1: Weather and Climate
Unit 2: Energy Transfer and Conservation
Unit 3: Classification of Animals
Unit 4: Protist, Fungi and Plants
Science and Engineering Practices will be embed within all units.
Inquiry investigations will be used to challenge students' thinking, and grow as learners!

As an Alumni of Mid-Carolina Middle and High School, I am happy to become a Rebel once again!
I am a 9th year science teacher. I graduated from College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Middle School Education. I began my career teaching 6th, 7th and 8th grade science in Charleston. Eager to move closer to home, I then spent 6 years teaching 6th grade science in West Columbia. This will be my second year teaching 6th grade science at Mid-Carolina Middle School.
