Mrs. Cooper attended Penn State University for Elementary Education and Integrative Arts with a concentration in theatre. She has her Master's of Education in Teacher Leadership from American College of Education. Mrs. Cooper has the ESOL endorsement, is certified to teach theater K-12, is a part of the South Carolina Financial Literacy Master Teacher program, and is certified in LETRS.

Mrs. Cooper is from a small town in central Pennsylvania called Houtzdale that is a lot like Pomaria. In 2016, she moved to South Carolina from Pittsburgh, PA. She and her husband, Bryce, live in Chapin with their two daughters, Stori (11) and Priya (7).
