Through MA Library Databases you have access to Gale Databases, Britannica, New York Times, Boston Globe, and more. Find articles, newspapers, encyclopedias, magazines, and more.

Remember: Use the "get link" buttons in databases to save links to sources, don't copy and paste from URL bar!

Start here! Britannica Encyclopedia will help you find reference articles and background knowledge on specific terms and topics. 

Use Gale Databases to find all kinds of different sources: primary sources newspaper articles, magazines, different viewpoints, images, audio sources, reference articles, etc.

Use Gale: Opposing Viewpoints and Gale: Global Issues for contemporary issues. Use General Onefile or Academic Onefile for a more general search.

Used around the world, the collections in JSTOR include peer-reviewed scholarly journals, respected literary journals, academic monographs, research reports, and primary sources from libraries’ special collections and archives.

Find sources in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences.

Required: Register for a personal JSTOR account with an email address and read up to 100 articles/month free.

Google Scholar provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature. You can search across many disciplines and sources: articles, theses, books, abstracts and court opinions, from academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, universities and other web sites.
