Music Technology is...
A technology-based music course at New Bedford High School where students learn the history of American Popular Music, as well as how to create, perform and record music in modern styles using different tools in music technology.
About Mr. Mason
Tim Mason has been a music educator in New Bedford since 2010 and has been the jazz band director at New Bedford High School since 2015. He holds an undergraduate degree from UMass Dartmouth, and earned his Masters of Music in Music Education from Boston University in 2017. He is currently on the board and is a site host for the Massachusetts Association for Jazz Educators. He is an active bassist in different genres of music, and a composer, clinician, and private instructor. Tim is also an endorsed educator/artist for DR Strings. In the classroom, he applies his improvisatory nature, and enjoys creating meaningful connections with students and providing real-world opportunities for learning.
