In Year 3 of the IB MYP, students are required to engage in a Community Project, where they identify a meaningful issue in their community, create an action plan, and take steps to address it. Unit 6 of the Democratic Knowledge Project (DKP) is specifically designed to support this project. Through this unit, students will explore their identities and investigate community issues, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to plan and implement their projects. By connecting the unit’s content to the Community Project, students are well-prepared to make a real-world impact while fulfilling the project requirements with purpose and clarity. Unit 6 will begin sometime in April, providing students with the time and support needed to fully engage in their community projects.
