Important to Know

Weekly Homework Log:

Each day the students will write their homework assignments on their Weekly Homework Log, which is to be kept inside their homework folder at all times. This is a good way to keep them organized, as well as to keep you updated with their homework assignments. In addition, take a look at the “Behavior” box each day. Please sign your initials in the “Behavior” box every night, so that I know you have seen the Weekly Homework Log. It is very important that you encourage your child to behave properly at school in order to get the most of his/her education.

Homework Folders:

Students will take this folder home Monday through Friday. Their homework will be inside, as well as any papers that you need to receive immediately. The folder should be brought to school each day with completed homework. Please have your child keep their Weekly Homework Log in their Homework Folder at all times.

Home Reading Logs:

The students are responsible for reading each day at home. They can read to another person, with another person (i.e. partner reading), or independently. The students will receive a Home Reading Log every Monday, where they will be responsible for keeping a log of the books they have read. Please make sure that your child is reading at home everyday. The Home Reading Logs will be collected every Friday.

BLUE Folders:

In addition to the daily homework folder, students will bring home their “BLUE Folder” once a week. This folder will have important notices from the office, as well as graded tests and class work. Please be sure to check the folder, empty it, and have your child return it to school the following day.
