InquirED's social studies program is an inquiry-based curriculum for elementary students that centers on investigating essential questions about history, civics, geography, and economics.
It is designed to develop critical thinking and literacy skills by engaging students with diverse primary and secondary sources. Through structured "Inquiry Journeys," students generate their own questions, conduct research, and construct evidence-based arguments, culminating in the presentation of their findings.
Inquiry-based social studies places students at the center of learning. Instead of just memorizing names and dates, students investigate big questions, gather evidence, and share their findings.
