When is the program's start date?


Is this a paid position?

Yes, this is a full-time, paid position

Is this an internship?

No, this is a full-time position based on a 40-hour work week. You must be available to work full-time during the program period, with the potential to extend beyond the initial training period. 

Do I need to have a college degree to apply? 

A college degree or advanced education is not required for these opportunities.

Can I apply to both the Storyboarding and Visual Development opportunities?

Yes, you can apply to both. However, please review the portfolio submission guidelines for each posting, as skills requirements will vary for each role.

What should I Include In my portfolio?

Refer to the Portfolio Guidelines section of this website for some tips and suggestions.

When applying to the program how long does it take before hearing back on a status?

How will I know if I made it through the review process?

     Please note: There are a limited number of trainee openings each year. Applying to this program and making it through the review    
    round does not guarantee placement in the program. 

If I applied to last year's program, should I reapply to this program to be considered?

Yes, you must reapply every year to be reconsidered for the Early Creative Program. 

Will I need to relocate to Los Angeles if selected?  Are relocation/housing expenses covered?

Yes, the program is based at our Burbank Studio. We do require relocation for the program. Relocation support will be assessed on a case by case basis. 

Is Netflix Animation a union studio?

Yes! If you’re curious to learn more about the Animation Guild, please refer to the Animation Guild website.

I’ve got a great idea for a film/series! Can I include my pitch materials with my application?

Netflix does not accept unsolicited pitch materials or scripts. Please note any unsolicited materials submitted will be automatically deleted.  For more information please refer to https://help.netflix.com/. Thank you for understanding.

Will I receive feedback on my submission?

Due to the high volume of applicants, we are unable to provide portfolio feedback for our programs.
