Developer / Entity: NetComps LTD
Applications Covered: Video Merge (com.netcompss_gh.vk2.videomerge) & Video Kit + (com.netcompss_gh.vk2)
Effective Date: November 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how NetComps LTD ("we", "us", or "our") handles user data in the Video Merge (video_merge) and Video Kit + Android applications (collectively, the "Application"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring complete transparency regarding how your data is handled.
No Personal Data Collection: The Application does not collect, transmit, store on external servers, or sell any personal or sensitive user data (such as your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, or device identifiers).
User-Selected Media Files (Videos & Audio): The Application only accesses video or audio files that you explicitly select using the Android System Photo Picker or share directly into the Application using Android's system Share sheet (ACTION_SEND / ACTION_SEND_MULTIPLE).
How Media Files Are Used: Selected media files are used exclusively on your device to perform the video processing actions you request (such as merging multiple videos, compressing, trimming, or editing).
No Third-Party Data Sharing: We do not share, upload, or disclose your videos, media files, or any other user data with NetComps LTD or any third parties. If you choose to use the in-app "Share" button after processing a video, the output video is shared only with the destination app you explicitly select via the Android system share sheet.
No Analytics or Advertising SDKs: The Application does not include third-party advertising networks, behavioral trackers, or cloud analytics SDKs.
100% On-Device Processing: All video merging and media processing is performed locally on your Android device using AndroidX Media3 hardware-accelerated APIs.
No Network Transmission: The Application does not request the android.permission.INTERNET permission and cannot transmit your media files or personal data over the internet.
Sandboxed Storage: Temporary working copies of selected media files and the processed output file are stored strictly within the Application's private internal storage directory (getFilesDir()), which is protected by the Android operating system's application sandbox and is inaccessible to other applications.
Device Permissions: The Application only uses android.permission.WAKE_LOCK to keep the device processor awake while a video merge or transcoding task is actively running on your screen.
Zero Server Retention: Because NetComps LTD does not collect or upload any user data to external servers, we do not retain any personal or sensitive user data outside your device.
Local Temporary Files: Working copies of videos selected for merging and the generated output file (out.mp4) remain only in the Application's private local storage on your device so you can preview or share the result.
How to Delete Your Data:
You can clear the active file selection and reset the workspace at any time using the Reset or Clear Merge List actions inside the Application.
Selecting or merging new videos automatically overwrites previous temporary output files in the Application's internal workspace.
You can permanently delete all local files stored by the Application at any time by going to Android Settings → Apps → Video Merge (or Video Kit +) → Storage & cache → Clear storage / Clear cache, or by uninstalling the Application from your device.
The Application does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Application or legal requirements. Any updates will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
