Program combines both physical and virtual (online) components. This format allows participants to benefit from both in-person interactions and the flexibility of online learning.
The objective of the course is to provide students with a perspective on market operations using a particular industry, such as the beverage industry. Here, they can apply their knowledge in decision-making scenarios, engaging in hands-on learning through real-world problems and market situations. This intricate methodology is realized through a business simulation game and a business development sprint, bridging the gap between theoretical concepts and practical application in the real business environment.
Online component
Physical component
The focus of the online part of the program is a simulation game (FMCGame by EcoSim) in which business decisions of a company that produces and distributes fast moving consumer goods are modeled. In the simulation, students manage such a virtual company that produces and distributes various types of drinks (soft drinks, fruit juices and energy drinks).
As students, you step into the role of executives on the board of an imaginary Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company in our economic simulation – FMCGame. This company specializes in the production and distribution of beverages, encompassing soft drinks, juices, and energy drinks, catering to three distinct target groups: small shops, supermarkets, and HoReCa (Hotels, Restaurants, and Cafés).
In this simulation, the game revolves around market dynamics, emphasizing the significance of your team's composition and the number of teams within each category. Teams offering superior products (higher quality, lower prices, etc.) can attract customers from competing teams, leading to an expansion of their market share.
Your role involves making strategic decisions for the virtual company, impacting its management over annual periods. The software generates comprehensive written reports on decision outcomes, and key indicators such as profit, cash flow, and turnover are visually represented on graphs for better analysis. Get ready to navigate the complexities of the business world by taking charge of your virtual company's management decisions!
Winner of the simulation: 80 points for the competition game, 20 points for the rapid game.
The sessions run from 15:00 to 16:30.
