Chris sponsored a movie night at Crozet Elementary. Parents and kids set up outside with blankets, popcorn, hot chocolate to watch a movie. To increase engagement, he made a Crozet real estate trivia where the highest scores got entered into a raffle for a free house cleaning.

At this year’s Nest Fest, Andrew introduced a Bingo Card Challenge to encourage guests to explore the event, engage in activities, and connect with one another.

The game quickly turned into a friendly competition, sparking organic conversations and high participation among clients and team members. Guests who completed a bingo card were entered to win a curated Fall Gift Basket from an Asheville small business, reinforcing the event’s focus on connection, community, and thoughtful design.

Description:
Stephanie and Nest Connect agents set up a make your own flower bouquet the weekend of Mother's Day at both Nest Connect locations. They provided punch and snacks, and each person went home with a plantable bird/seed pack. They also did a gift basket give away with a birdhouse, birdseed, and goodies from a local plat nursery.

Sofia sponsored a teacher appreciation luncheon before Thanksgiving break with a local PTSA, provided individual mini pies for every teacher, and did a "Spa Day" gift card. It was her way of giving back to the community.

The teachers LOVED the idea of a massage and really liked all the different pie flavors to choose from.

Project Description:

As egg prices were soaring, Melissa contacted a local chicken farm and asked how much it would be to buy fresh eggs in bulk. They worked out a price, and got the entire Nest Fredericksburg office involved. They sourced egg cartons, created cute Nesty packaging, and then hand delivered them to their clients.

Melissa worked with a local car wash to purchase gift certificates at a discounted bulk rate. She then tucked the certificates into Nesty custom cards that she created with the Nest Design Team and mailed them to all of her clients from the past year.

Project Description:

For the past five years, the Fredericksburg team has presented Awesomeness Awards to outstanding teachers and paraprofessionals in their local market. Community members were invited to nominate educators who go above and beyond, sharing specific examples of what makes them exceptional. Selected recipients received a Certificate of Awesomeness along with a $100 cash award. 

Since the program began, the Fredericksburg team has awarded a total of $25,000 in support of local educators.

Project Description:

Maddy organized a donation-based pet photoshoot with a local photographer, giving participants professional photos with their dogs for holiday cards! 

The event featured treats from local dog treat company Botanical Bones, coffee from a nearby shop, and a newly painted local mural as the backdrop to support hurricane recovery efforts. All photoshoot proceeds supported a local dog shelter impacted by Hurricane Helene.

Project Description:

Becky partnered with local lender Deanna Roed of Freedom First Credit Union to host a Christmas client appreciation event. The Nest NRV office welcomed Santa for storytime, photos, and coloring activities plus donuts from Carol Lee Donuts in Blacksburg.

Becky created a festive atmosphere with holiday décor, balloons, a photo backdrop, and the office’s decorated Christmas tree.
