When trying to find out where to eat by NEST+m, places such as Pause Cafe, Heaven’s Hot Bagels, and Makabely serve as great options. These places are all located near school and easily accessible. You should definitely check them out if you haven’t already!
Pause Cafe (3 Clinton Street)
Pause Cafe is an eight minute walk from school and is one of the most popular locations for students to go to for lunch or afterschool. Pause serves Moroccan cuisine, which is well known worldwide for its rich flavors. Most students come in looking for smoothies or pastries from the cafe, without realizing its Moroccan roots. It was founded in 2011 by Amine Sadki, an immigrant from Morocco, with the hope of creating a place that would feel “warm, homey and welcoming” as the website puts it. So when you go to Pause Cafe and enjoy its smoothies and sweets, you may want to consider trying something new by getting Moroccan bread or coffee.
Heaven’s Hot Bagels (283 E Houston St)
Heaven’s Hot Bagels is a bagel shop located right next to Pause Cafe. It was founded in 2010 by Danny W. and aims to please customers. It is a prominent spot for bagels and sandwiches at low prices, starting around $4.50. Heaven’s is easily reachable from NEST for a quick meal. It's the perfect distance from school, has friendly staff and tasty food. Most people get a bagel with cream cheese and have the option to bring it back to school or join friends at Pause Cafe.
