Nepean Lawn Bowls is hiring a seaonal full time sports program coordinator.

We are looking for someone with excellent written and interpersonal communication skills for eight weeks this spring and summer.

This position is supported by the Canada Summer Jobs program. You must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee, and between the ages of 16 to 30 .

Position Description

The sports program coordinator at Nepean Lawn Bowls will be responsible for learning, and producing documentation for, all aspects of the club's administrative functions as they relate to: member recruitement and registration, weekly member lawn bowling activities, occasional club tournaments, occasional tournaments open to any lawn bowler, any district championships hosted by the club leading to provincial events, events for persons with disabilities, the functioning of the Board of Directors, managing club documents, communications with City of Ottawa staff, and maintenance of the playing surface, the surrounding grounds, and the clubhouse building. The coordinator will work with the current Board of Directors, previous members of the Board with key knowledge about club functions, and current members of the club, to obtain the required knowledge. The key deliverable will be a well organized set of documents with the online platform the club uses. The documents will be intended for use by club members to access and learn how to administer the club, allowing Nepean Lawn Bowls to manage itself going forward as a volunteer-run organization.
