Rooted in a legacy of growth, Northeastern Mindanao State University – San Miguel Campus stands as a beacon of academic excellence and community impact. From its humble beginnings in 1953 as an agricultural school, NEMSU San Miguel has evolved into a dynamic institution.
NEMSU-San Miguel Campus, home to the College of Forestry and Agriculture, is situated in Barangay Carromata, SNAS, within the Municipality of San Miguel. It spans 779 hectares—the largest among the campuses—comprising 379 hectares of lowland, 175 hectares of upland, and 207 hectares of forest reserves. Perched on a scenic plateau, it overlooks the province’s primary rice-producing lowland.
The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) designates it as the Provincial Institute of Agriculture and Forestry (PIAF) under the NAFES program. Aligned with current trends in agricultural development, the college aims to produce skilled agroforestry professionals for the province and the wider region.
