Here at Bloomfield Elementary we have three school priorities; literacy, deeper learning, and caretaking. The activities in our classroom are centered around these priorities to give students an opportunity to connect with people and place while discovering their purpose. Our in person daily schedule includes time to connect through family team meetings, time to read and learn the foundational skills in literacy, and time to explore and think deeply about topics of interest.

A little about me:

• This is my 23rd year teaching.

• I have taught kindergarten and first grade before going to second grade.

• I live in Bloomfield with my husband and two little boys.

• I’m originally from Harlan County in southeastern Kentucky.

• I have a brother, a nephew, and two nieces.

• I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and traveling.

• Fun facts: I love Starbucks, going to the gym, children's books, and taking pictures.
