Hello, Tye River Elementary!
My name is Ashley Bryant and I am so excited to continue my counseling career at Tye River Elementary. For those that do not know a lot about me, allow me to introduce myself.
I graduated from Amherst County High School. After high school, I pursued my bachelor's degree in Health Promotion from Lynchburg College. I obtained a M.A. Community Counseling degree from Liberty University. Lastly, I graduated from Lynchburg College with M.Ed. in School Counseling.
My background has not only been working in education as a counselor intern, substitute teacher, and mental health clinician, but I have also spent many years working in the mental health field in the community setting. I have a burning passion to advocate for our youth by inspiring, motivating and empowering them to reach their fullest potential in life-academically, socially, emotionally, and in becoming ready to transition to life beyond K-12. In addition, I believe it is important to advocate for our parents, teachers and community. I also believe that in order to help students thrive, you have to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and all staff members of the school and community.
My greatest blessing is getting to be a mother to 3 children-Kinzleigh (12), Kaiden (9) Kalaina (4). In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, being active, camping, playing corn-hole, reading books for pleasure and personal development.
I am thrilled to start 2021-2022 school year off with Tye River Elementary. I can't wait to see what we accomplish together! Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions. My door is always open!
