Course Evaluations
Starting in Fall 2022, Course Evaluations will be centrally administered through the Administrative Assessment Coordinator and Data Analyst using Watermark's Course Evaluation and Surveys application (previously named EvaluationKit).
Note: The CTL is no longer managing the process. All support concerns/requests need to be sent to course-evaluations@neiu.edu. For more information, please visit the Course Evaluation site.
Announce the Course Evaluation Period Regularly
Let your students know about course evaluations in class, via email, and/or as an Announcement item in your D2L course shells.
Remind students that the evaluations are completely anonymous.
Explain to students why the evaluations are important and how you use them.
Allow for Class Time to Complete the Evaluations
Even though the evaluations are online, you can still provide time in class for students to complete them.
Announce via email, and/or as an Announcement item in your D2L course shells that you will set aside class time to complete the evaluations.
Course evaluations can be completed on desktop computers, laptops, or mobile devices. For classes that meet face-to-face, reserve a classroom with computers or reserve a laptop cart, or give your students enough notice that they can bring a laptop or mobile device to complete the evaluations.
Leave the virtual or face-to-face room so students feel free to offer honest feedback.
