The Texas Success Initiative Assessment 2.0 (TSIA2) measures the ability of students, as indicated by their skills in English Language Arts and Reading (ELAR) and Mathematics, to do college-level course work. If you do not meet any TSIA2 exemption requirements and are enrolling in classes at an institution for higher learning, you will need to take the TSIA2 test. Typically students who demonstrate deficiencies in either of these areas will be required to enroll in at least one College Preparatory Course each semester until they have completed and passed all required remediation courses with a "C" or better.
Madison will provide several opportunities for seniors who do not meet exemption requirements to take the TSIA2 on campus. Testing opportunities will be opened to underclassmen who wish to enroll in Dual Credit courses in the spring of 2025. Sign ups for testing will be posted here and in student grade level google classrooms.
ALL TSIA2 testers must first create a profile and complete the Pre Assessment Activity before registering to take the TSIA2 at Madison. CLICK HERE for instructions on how to complete.
TSI testing on campus will begin in November - open to seniors only
