good character standing (has not been referred for disciplinary actions)
In the 2025 Fall Semester, students who meet the above requirements will receive a letter in their student email inviting them to apply.
Once you have your application, be extremely conscious of the directions and deadlines. Not abiding by these risks negating your application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Student applications are reviewed by the CTJ Faculty Council (not the NHS advisors). The CTJ Faculty Council will determine membership based off their review of the applications. Incomplete applications will not be considered. They will score the applications using the district rubric based on the information below.

Co/Extra curricular activities
Leadership qualities
Service Portfolio
Work Experiences
Eligible applicants who met all deadlines and application requirements, will receive a notification of the faculty councils' acceptance or denial decision by email at the student's school email address (check your junk mail)in late October. All accepted applicants are required to complete the acceptance form and participate in our NHS Induction Ceremony in order to officially become a member of the organization.
Check with your counselor on your overall unweighted GPA (must check with your counselor in October after the invitations have been sent).
*Note GPAs do not round up.
