Week 1: 8/12-16

Dear Bradley Middle School Band Students and Families,

Welcome back to another exciting school year at Bradley Middle School! Whether you're returning or joining us for the first time, we're eager to have you as part of our band family.

We can't wait to dive into the world of music together and watch each of you grow as musicians throughout the year. Your dedication and passion for music are what make our band program special, and we're excited to embark on this musical journey with you. Parents, we encourage you to be active in your student's musical journey—you won’t want to miss this amazing  musical growth!

To kick off the school year, please note that instruments and band supplies will not be needed for the first few days of school. Instead, all students will need to purchase and start practicing with a standard combination lock. This includes all band members, including Percussion, Tubas, and Baritones. Remember, only number or letter combination locks are allowed—no keyed or "speed dial" locks, please.

Important Note: If you have not been assigned an instrument by one of the Bradley Band Directors, please do not purchase any equipment at this time, as your instrument or class may change. If you have already been assigned an instrument but have not yet purchased your equipment, please visit our website at www.BradleyMSBand.com for information on instrument supply lists.

For our Advanced Band students (Honor, Symphonic, Concert & Jazz), you will be able to bring your instruments and equipment starting on Wednesday, August 14th, 2024, along with your combination lock. Please ensure you have your lock ready; otherwise, you'll need to carry your equipment with you throughout the day.

Beginner Band students will have their instrument and equipment day on Thursday, August 15th, 2024, also with your combination lock. Make sure to have your lock in hand to avoid any inconvenience and having to carry your equipment with you all day.

We're looking forward to a fantastic year filled with music, growth, and memorable experiences. If you have any questions or need further information, feel free to reach out to us.

Sincerely,

Mr. Elizondo and Mr. Vilas
