Negaunee Public Schools is pleased to announce a new program that will serve students in our District, whose families are in financial need. The new Miner Packs program was started on February 10, 2017, at Lakeview Elementary, and relies entirely on donations from individuals and businesses. The idea behind the program is to provide a healthy “pack” each weekend to our students.

As you may know, Negaunee Public Schools offers free or reduced breakfast and lunches for children in need who attend our schools. For some of our students, these meals may be the only source of nutrition they are receiving. Our program, Miner Packs, will help bridge the gap over the weekends by providing a pack of perishable and nonperishable food items in their backpacks each Friday. All who participate in receiving a Miner Pack will remain confidential.
