The Northeast Georgia RESA Audiology Department provides a variety of services to the member school systems including:

• Hearing retesting at school for students who are referred when they do not pass a hearing screening;

• Full audiological evaluation at RESA for students on an as-needed basis;

• Recommendations regarding medical referrals, hearing aids, assistive listening devices and classroom accommodations for children with hearing difficulties, as appropriate;

• Fitting and follow up for classroom and individual assistive listening devices for school use;

• Consultations with classroom teachers and school personnel;

• Participation in IEP and 504 meetings.
