Testimonials

“Fusion was a great experience for me. I found a new version of myself. It gave me opportunities I wouldn't have had in the traditional school atmosphere. I personally am an A student so I have to work hard to maintain my current GPA. I would recommend Fusion for any creative mind that is searching for an alternative learning style that can help them hone their skills and find new abilities in themselves that they had not known of before.”

“The Fusion Academy requires presentations in front of large groups and constantly working with others. In those two years, I was pushed to do things I would typically never do because of my shyness. My shyness was what motivated me through the years to help overcome the barriers I created, allowing me to speak to people with little to no problem. The key to figuring out life has never been a tangible object that one can study and master for a test: it is something that needs to be done by doing.” Alyssa R. class of 2018

"In Fusion, something that has truly impacted me has been the encouragement to do new things. I'm not an actress, but because of Fusion, I could participate in multiple different functions to do with the arts. I love the different opportunities that are offered. It not only helps me make a difference in my community, but in my family as well. I've always been a perfectionist; however, I have had to learn that everything can't be perfect. Whether it's to do with my art, music, writing, or running, I needed to perfect everything. Yet, Fusion has encouraged me to not only focus on the perfect, but the imperfect as well. For example, in my projects, I no longer focus on how can I make this look and sound perfect, but also how can I keep attention, relate to people, and compete against other people. Furthermore, I'm the type of person who wants to be involved in everything. Whether it's cooking or music, I want to be apart of everything. However, I had to learn that I can't stretch myself so thin. I should focus on what I am truly passionate about instead of fighting to do everything. Then, based on what I picked, I should strive to improve my relationship with that. I am no longer afraid to ask questions or question people. Most importantly, I have learned to fail fast."
