Now that Vasilios had money and connections, he began investing in real estate. In the 1970s, he purchased several multi-family homes located in both Watertown and Needham, the two Massachusetts towns he had lived in. He rented them to tenants for another steady stream of income.
The seal of AHEPA, the Greek organization.
Since Vasilios knew the struggle that immigrants went through first-hand, he decided to give back to the community that had welcomed him all those years ago. He volunteered with AHEPA, an organization that helped Greek immigrants when they came to America. Through this organization, he was able to donate time and money to help his fellow immigrants.
