Dear Class of 2021 Students, Parents and Families:

The time has come to plan for the 2020-2021 Advocate, The NHS Yearbook!

Please note, this year, we will be using a NEW COMPANY for portrait and photography services, Coffee Pond Photography. This change is in an effort to best serve the needs of our students and families. Please read the attached information carefully to learn more about Coffee Pond Photography and how to book your portrait sessions.

In the interest of uniformity and quality, all senior portraits that will appear in the 2020-2021

yearbook must be taken by Coffee Pond Photography.

Only portraits taken by Coffee Pond Photography will be used for the senior section of the yearbook.

You are not obligated to purchase any portraits for your personal use.

Coffee Pond Photography is a locally based student portrait vendor owned and operated by Needham residents. For more than 35 years, Coffee Pond has provided families throughout New England and New York with high quality, creative, yet classic student portraits and is pleased to expand their relationship with Needham Public Schools to include the High School.

Seniors are encouraged to schedule their Senior Portrait sitting during the summer months, and students will have the option of outdoor (weather permitting) or indoor portrait sittings. Only one student may be booked per sitting. Students are welcome to book additional second sittings at later dates, if desired. Students are also welcome to book sittings at Coffee Pond’s studios in Framingham, MA if the following dates are not desirable.

Coffee Pond Photographers will be on site at the High School on the following dates:

July 15^th, 21^st and 30^th

August 5^th, 11^th and 13^th

September 12^th and 26^th

PREFERRED PORTRAITS FOR THE YEARBOOK MUST BE CHOSEN BY NOVEMBER 30th.

When you arrive for your sitting, enter at the Webster Street entrance of the High School and come to the cafeteria extension. Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your session and check in at the registration desk. We will not be accommodating complete outfit changes during the session, however, students are welcome to bring an additional layer, such as a sweater or jacket, and take photos with and without.

Due to Covid-19 social distancing requirements, only the senior who is to be photographed may be present for the session unless the student requires special assistance from a family member or guardian. Additionally, Cap & Gown photos will not be available this year, as we will avoid sharing those garments for everyone’s safety. All staff and students will wear a mask, except the student when they are being photographed.

Senior Portrait sittings will now be booked online.

Please follow the steps below to book your summer portrait sitting:

1. Visit Coffee Pond at www.coffeepond.com and click on the blue button at the bottom right corner of the screen that says “Senior Portrait Sign Up”.
2. You will be brought to a page where you may select your school and then click on the “Book Now” button under your desired date.
3. Once on the signup page, select the session time that you would like and click the “Sign Up” button, scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Submit and Sign Up”.
4. Fill out your contact information using your Needham High School student email address as well as your parent or guardian’s email address. Select the type of session you would like (indoor or outdoor – weather permitting) and click “Sign Up & Pay Now”. Complete the payment process either through your Paypal account using a major credit card.
5. You will receive a confirmation email with your session date and time. If you need to reschedule your session after you have booked it, please contact seniorportraits@coffeepond.com at least 48 hours before your scheduled session. If you fail to attend your scheduled session without notifying Coffee Pond Photography via the email above, you will incur a rebooking fee of $25.00.
6. You should receive a booking confirmation email shortly after your submission and payment. If your payment was not confirmed, you will receive an email letting you know your sitting time has been let go.

PORTRAIT PACKAGE ORDERING

Approximately two weeks after your portrait sitting, an email will be sent to the addresses provided in your portrait sitting sign up. The email will contain a private password that will allow you to view only your images and will provide ordering instructions.

As an incentive to sign up early, students will be offered a 20% discount on orders placed within two weeks of images being posted FOR JULY SESSIONS ONLY.
