About the Teacher

My family and I at my graduation in 2018

I grew up in a very small town in northern Connecticut, surrounded by farmland. I lived down the street from a blueberry farm, which is one of the things I miss most. I moved to Massachusetts in 2014 to attend Boston College, and spent four years working in different schools in the area for student teaching, as well as in many after school programs. I majored in Elementary Education and Math/Computer Science, and graduated in 2018. I continued studying at BC, and received my Masters of Education in Moderate Special Needs in 2019. This will be my fourth year teaching at Mitchell, and I could not be more excited to continue working in such a wonderful and supportive community!

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy running outside, going to Red Sox games, and spending time with friends and family! One of my favorite things to do in my free time is bake and decorate cupcakes. I often make these for special events and fundraisers. For the past five years I've been making hundreds of cupcakes for an event for a non-profit in nearby Newton. Below are some of the cupcakes I've made - my favorite being the BC eagle! :)
