Starting in the early 1920’s, multiple young individuals founded the Chinese Communist Party. Over time they gathered more followers and started to take over parts of China in the late 1940s. At this point, Patrick was just a one-year-old, in his mother's arms all day long. He and part of his family were able to escape the Chinese Communists and carry on their lives, creating a lovely family in the United States.
