She went back to school in Boston and went into a field she had considered entering during her entire music career in the US: real estate. During the 80s and 90s, the market in the Greater Boston area was very open as it was shortly after the bussing crisis had ended. As a result, an influx of both immigrants and citizens of other parts of the US began flowing into Boston. She completed over five hundred real estate transactions over twenty two years as these people moved, but around 2010 she realized she missed music too much to continue working only in the real estate business. To compensate, she began teaching students harp and piano on the side.
