Judaism in America
Minna was surprised by the acceptance of her religion in America. She had spent her whole life being somewhat discreet about her religion, for safety reasons, but now she was able to be openly Jewish. Having access to more information about Judaism allowed her to expand her knowledge about her religion and ultimately become more religious. After discovering things like kosher foods and religious traditions, Minna became hooked. She was thrilled that she could finally proudly identify with Judaism. She began going to Temple regularly. This was a privilege, something she had never experienced before. Minna was so excited about Judaism and was sure to teach her children about the privilege and joy of being openly and proudly Jewish.
Life today
Minna has been living her dream in America for over 20 years now. She has worked as a dentist in America for over 7. Minna was a director at Gentle Dental in Norwood, MA but has recently opened her own dental practice, Greenline Dental Care in Brookline. She is thrilled with her work, and is so passionate about fixing smiles! Minna has also found new passions for tennis and baking. She also enjoys spending time with her family. Minna loves going out to eat, and is a big fan of road-trips! Minna is also an advent selfie taker with her oldest daughter!
Looking back
Although immigration was hard, Minna is tremendously grateful for the opportunity. She is fascinated every day by her mother and the strength she had to push through all the hardship, "She is the strongest woman I know. My mother always reminded me to keep pushing through difficult times, and remember that there is so much beauty to be seen in the world." She is also always remembering her father who made her immigration possible and showed strength and courage throughout the whole process. Today, Minna teaches her children to value and appreciate the opportunities they are given living in America. She is excited to see the future generations living and thriving in America!
