Parent Information

There are many different programs that the Needham elementary libraries offer.

Please contact your school's librarian if you have any questions!

Gift Book Program

The gift book program is a way for you to honor your child's birthday or other special achievement and at the same time, donate a book to your elementary school library.  Forms go home throughout the year but are also available in the Library throughout the school year.  Your student will get to choose a book at their birthday time!

Book Fair

Book Fairs are held annually in most of the Needham elementary schools!  Your librarian works with the PTC to provide great books for students to purchase!  A percentage of the profits come back to your school library to purchase new books and supplies to support our students and their learning.

Library Volunteers

Did you know that THOUSANDS of books circulate through the Needham elementary libraries every week?

Adult volunteers are essential to the running of our school libraries.  It is also a great way to both see your child during the school day AND make a big difference in our school!  Having volunteers handle shelving and checking books in and out allows the librarians to focus on teaching and working with children.

If you would like to volunteer please reach out to your elementary library coordinator below to find out how to be trained:
