Before coming to Needham, Ms. Marx was a Science teacher at a couple of different schools in the Boston area. For the last few years, she has taught different Chemistry levels as well as a Physics class. She was first attracted to Chemistry because of the hands-on nature of the work as well as the pretty colors of all of the solutions! This led her to major in both Science and Gender Studies in college.

Ms. Marx has two kids who are currently in high school as well as a family cat. In her spare time, she has been exploring the connections between science and art by doing pottery. She is also the advisor of a new club at Needham High, the Crossword Puzzle club.
