The Nederland Westernaires are the dance/drill team for Nederland High School in Nederland, Texas. They have been a lasting tradition at Nederland High School since being founded in 1956. Throughout the years, this award winning and nationally recognized drill team has served to demonstrate our community's never ending dedication to the pride of the Nederland Bulldogs. The team consists of varying numbers of team members and is led by five line officers, consisting of a Captain, a First Lieutenant, and three Lieutenants. The girls work countless hours every year perfecting their routines in preparation for football and competition seasons. Under the direction of Mrs. Jessica Blanchard, they proudly bring recognition to our community by competing in and winning various competitions all over the State of Texas and throughout the country. In addition to dance, they are taught leadership, good values, and discipline that will accompany them through adulthood. At the end of each school year, the team celebrates that year's accomplishments in what is called the Spring Revue. This event is open to the public, and showcases all of the dances/routines performed during that year. In addition, it celebrates the end of this journey for our graduating senior Westernaires, and the beginning of a new journey for our new-girl Westernaires. We welcome you to our site and hope you enjoy it!!
