BECOME VOLUNTEER FACULTY

New England College of Optometry invites it's teaching and clinical faculty to join the NECO Volunteer Faculty team to provide onsite and online optometric education with Orbis International.

GLOBAL OPPORTUNITIES: Onsite, hospital-based programs are available for NECO Volunteer Faculty to participate in annually, each lasting one or two weeks. Volunteer Faculty are matched with programs in accordance to the needs of the partner hospitals as well as the volunteer's specialty knowledge and passion for international collaboration. Typical programs include lectures as well as hands-on training. While the NECO Volunteer Faculty will assist trainees in providing clinical services, the principle aim is to exchange knowledge and skills. Therefore, clinical services are provided in a teaching hospital setting. It is imperative that our Volunteer Faculty remain flexible and adaptable to the scope of optometry training they are happy to provide.

LOCAL OPPORTUNITIES: In addition to the global onsite opportunities, members of the the NECO Volunteer Faculty Team can participate locally through online optometric education through Orbis' educational telehealth portal, Cybersight. Volunteer Faculty have access to and provide live international webinars, live procedural demonstrations, telehealth mentoring and educational resources.
