Tips
Don't get "Storrowed"! Be sure not to drive your moving truck on Storrow Drive or Memorial Drive in Boston. The truck won't fit under the overpasses!
If possible, try to move in before September 1st. It is the major moving day in Boston with crowded streets.
Start changing your address for the move (e.g., Amazon, banks, etc.), and make sure any mail is forwarded to your new address.
Label/categorize your boxes when you pack. It can make unpacking much easier.
Tricks
You will want to apply for a parking permit for your moving truck during your move! For more information visit the parking department's website for the town you will be moving to.
Pack a smaller weekend bag so you don't have to unpack immediately when you arrive.
If the current tenant is moving out, consider reaching out to them. They may have items they can leave behind or sell to you without the hassle of moving them yourself.
