The Nebraska Citizens for Arts Education was formed in 1990 as a way to fund support for arts education. In 2011, Nebraska Citizens for Arts Education was reorganized as a 501(c)(4) nonprofit and was named the Nebraska Arts Action Fund. It funded and supported a lobbyist for arts advocacy for a few years. It was re-established in the fall of 2024 as an affiliated organization of Nebraskans for the Arts.
Donors to the Nebraska Arts Action Fund help build our capacity to advocate for the arts. Funds will support an arts lobbyist, get-out-to-vote events, candidate surveys, and exploring research supporting pro-arts legislation. Donating to a 501(c)(4) is not tax deductible.
Nebraskans for the Arts and Nebraska Arts Action Fund are state partners with Americans for the Arts and the AFTA Action Fund.
