Hello Bobcat Families-
I've been lucky enough to be part of the "Bobcat Family" since I student taught in the fall of 1999. I've been part of our district leadership team for the past 20 years. I was the assistant principal at the high school for 3 years, principal of Spring Forge Intermediate for 7 years, and principal at Orendorf for the past 10 years. I can honestly say I love my job, love kids and love creating an environment for kids to be successful. Outside of my "principal world" I believe I'm a pretty ordinary guy. My wife Lauren (Northeastern graduate of the class of 1997) and I have been married for over 22 years. We have 3 children and a pug; Emily (19 years old - Millersville University sophomore, majoring in social work), Drew (16 years old - Dover High School, sophomore), Ty (13 years old - Dover Middle School, 7th grader) and "Oakley" (the pug). As a family we are band geeks (all three kids are drummers) and we love sports. My boys and I are dedicated Harrisburg Heat fans - we don't miss a game! Go Heat! Additionally, I love all things outdoors. I'm an avid hunter, fisherman, kayaker, disc golfer, axe thrower, etc. My strangest love is probably Starbucks; I'm not a coffee drinker, but there is no food or drink that brings me more joy than a "Mango Dragonfruit Refresher."
There's nothing in the world that I love more than my family and I try to bring that into my principal life every day. Just as I want the world for my kids, I know every parent expects the same for their own. Please know, that I bring that expectation with me daily to Orendorf and I want you to be able to count on me to advocate for the best possible schooling experience for your child. Orendorf Elementary is a super special place with superior educators; welcome to the Orendorf family!
