STERLING SCHOLAR INSTRUCTIONS
Complete the Sterling Scholar application.
Turn in 1 APPLICATION FOR EACH CATEGORY YOU ARE APPLYING FOR AND 1 EXTRA COPY FOR MRS. RAWLE WITH A TRANSCRIPT ATTACHED TO EACH COPY
All application materials must be TYPED.
Include a transcript with your application. This can be printed off of Infinite Campus or obtained from the Counseling Center.
Applications are due to Mrs. Rawle in the library no later than 3:00 p.m., Oct. 8.
School winners will be announced in November.
Sterling Scholar candidates are evaluated on the following criteria: Academic Scholarship (20%) Category Scholarship (20%) Leadership (20%) Community Service/Citizenship (20%) Interview (20%).
A student may be the winner in only one category.
The fourteen categories are: English, Mathematics, Social Science, Science, World Languages, Computer Technology, Skilled and Technical Sciences, Family & Consumer Sciences, Business and Marketing, Speech/Theater Arts/Forensics, Visual Arts, Vocal Performance, Instrumental Music, and Dance.
