Tsokas Tribute- Add your pictures here!
Mr. Tsokas was a beloved teacher, mentor, friend, and athletic director who devoted almost 40 years of service to NDV. He passed away one year ago this week after a long and hard fought battle with cancer - our gym bears his name. Here is a great video about him and his induction into the CYO Hall of Fame.
WCEA/WASC Accreditation Visit
NDV made history in October as the first school in the Western States to have a virtual accreditation visit. In the Report of Findings, delivered last Thursday, we earned a 'Highly Effective' rating in all 12 categories which is incredibly rare. Gail Sherman, (our WCEA Visiting Team Chair and author of the WCEA Protocol) and Carol Grewal (Archdiocesan Associate Superintendent and WCEA Commissioner) both said that in their 30 years of working with schools, each have only experienced one other time in their careers where a school received "Highly Effective" ratings in all 12 categories during an accreditation visit. This is a huge accomplishment and point of pride for all of us! Congratulations, especially, to the NDV staff who worked tirelessly to write the report and prepare for such a successful visit.

On Sunday, October 4, the church celebrated the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, patron of ecology and of our own city that bears his name. Because St. Francis loved and honored all of God's creation, his feast is the traditional day for blessing animals. Our students participated in a blessing of pets in their homerooms, and our Student Council compiled this slide show of NDV pets. Enjoy! St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us!

Congratulations class of 2020! The radio show you presented on Friday night was spectacular!
What an amazing performance of Willy Wonka Jr. our 8th grade Class of 2020 treated us to on Friday night! It was a treat for the ears and the eyes, with sweet visuals enhancing the cast’s terrific performances. The premier event had over 625 views, with family and friends listening all over the Bay Area, and as far as Mexico, Thailand, Sweden, Australia and Quebec, as well as many homes across America. If we “Think Positive” about Shelter in Place, we realize we never could have reached so many friends and family across the world with a live performance - a “radio show” brought delight and fantasy to so many 8th grade supporters, near and far!”
