École Notre Dame des Victoires, the little French, Catholic school in downtown San Francisco (known to most as NDV) presents Le Grand Marché. This annual Christmas Market features a curated selection of craftspeople—amateur and professional—inspired by the mood and aesthetics of French or San Francisco/local cultures whose wares are suitable for the holiday timeframe; gifting, food, art, jewelry, decor and entertaining.

Le Grand Marché is a 2–day event beginning the evening of Friday December 6th with a champagne preview party (adult only), complimentary champagne and light bites will be served. The main event will be on the 2nd Sunday of Advent December 8th, beginning with a special 9am mass. France’s beloved Cathédrale Notre-Dame in Paris was devastated by a fire on April 19, 2019, and after a 5-year intensive restoration and reconstruction period, it is reopening its doors to the public on December 8, 2024. Église and École Notre Dame des Victoires warmly invite you to a celebratory mass to commemorate this grand reopening.

Nearly 5,600 miles from Paris, we joyously invite our local community in to join us to create moments of joy, peace and fraternity as we honor the dedication and bravery of hundreds of firefighters and first responders and celebrate the hundreds of artisans and their age-old skills that brought this significant spiritual monument back to life.

Following this mass of celebratory thanksgiving, the festivity will continue in Marist Hall with our 3rd annual Christmas Market, Le Grand Marché, where we fête our connection with France through food, culture and craft.
