Beginnings
The idea started as a suggestion from a faculty member to start a group focused on leadership for women, since one of us had prior experience starting a student organization. It took two women in different disciplines meeting for Medley to form, built upon the idea of having an umbrella group for women in STEM that provides mentoring and helps students learn of resources. Both could not find a group for advancing women that covered topics in their respective fields.

What is Medley?
Medley is a group focused on connecting women in STEM fields to resources and networking opportunities. We help women achieve their goals both educationally and career wise. The goal is to help women in STEM learn about existing resources, create new resources, as well as to build a community of women in STEM for support. Medley aims to fill the gap for females in STEM - especially in fields that do not have a large female population at NDSU.
Major Activities
Stories by women on their career and industry path, networking opportunities, virtual networking options, educational topics on working in industry, and guest speakers.
Who Can Join?
Women in STEM, or students/faculty who have an interest in increasing the involvement of women in STEM and helping foster a welcoming community.
