Hello! My name is Ashley Hahn, and I am so excited to welcome you and your first grader to a wonderful new school year! This will be my fourth year working in first grade. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education, and I am currently in my final year at Grand Canyon University, where I am earning my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. I live in Morganton with my husband and our three children. I have also been involved in our school community by coaching soccer for more than 10 years. I truly love watching students grow, learn, and become more confident throughout the school year. I am looking forward to getting to know each of my firsties and their families and making this a fun, exciting, and memorable year filled with learning and growth!

Hi! My name is Mrs. Smith! I graduated from Appalachian State University in 2026 with a bachelor’s degree in Child Development. I am originally from Mars Hill, NC but now live in Lenoir, NC with my husband Mason and our two cats, Max and Sansa. 

I love any time spent with family and friends, traveling, and reading! 

I am so excited for this year in 1st grade! 

My name is Mrs. Norman. I graduated from Western Carolina University in 2005 with a Bachelor's in Elementary. I completed my Masters in Elementary Education Curriculum and Instruction and Literacy at WCU 2024.  I love teaching and being a part of the NDS family. My husband and I have been married 24 years. We have two children. We love spending family time together, traveling, playing games, hiking, and kayaking. 

Hello! My name is Mrs. Davis. I graduated from Western Carolina University in 2018 with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education. I reside in Morganton with my husband and our two fur-babies, Jesco and Otis. 

In my free time I enjoy traveling to theme parks, playing competitive card games, and going to the movies. 

It's going to be a fantastic year in 1st grade! :)
