What does being a Global Citizen mean to me?

Being a Global Citizen is not just recognizing the perspectives and experiences of others across the world, but pursuing them in a way that is beneficial for the past, present, and future. They act to promote the common good not just locally, but nationally and internationally. "Global Education develops the knowledge, skills, and empathic orientation required to understand multiple perspectives and to thrive in increasingly interconnected world systems," as stated by the Global Education Benchmark Group.

How has the Global Scholars Program, or Center for Global Leadership, shaped my experience at the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur?

Being a part of this program has pushed me far beyond my comfort zone which has led me to so many opportunities I wouldn't have otherwise had. I have met some awesome people, completed many projects, and have been inspired all the way through!
